Mountain Climb The
conquest of Borneo's highest mountain (4,101m/13,455ft)
is a 5 mile (8km) trek well within the capability of any
reasonably fit person..
*Bring light raincoat, change of warm clothes & gym
shoes, light gloves, headache tablets, waterbottle,
torchlight & waterproff/plastic bags to keep
equipment & clothes dry. |

Mount Kinabalu Summit
Climb

Day
1 Itinerary follows BIM LN5 at Park
HQ. Overnight at PArk HQ (Lunch/Dinner)
Day 2 Transfer to Timpohon Gate
(1,830m/6,000ft) to begin the trek with mountain
guide. This takes about 5-7 hours, with time out
to look at the views, birds, animals, soil and
rocks of the various vegetation zones up to Laban
Rata Resthouse (3,290m/10,700ft). (Full board)
Day 3 Begin final ascent at 3am
to greet the dawn at the summit (6am). The
stupendouse view to be had at 4,101m/13,455ft
before the clouds rise is well worth the previous
day's exertions; on a clear day, one might almost
see all of Sabah.
Breakfast at the Resthouse before descending to
Timpohon Gate to transfer to Park HQ for lunch.
Return to KK (Kota Kinabalu) in afternoon,
stopping briefly at a pottery. (Breakfast/Lunch)

1to 3 Itinerary follows BIM
A-2's Days 1 to 3 for the climb On Day 3 After lunch
at Park HQ, transfer to Poring Hot Sprins
to pamper your tired limbs. Overnight at
Park accomodations, Poring. (Full board)
 Day 4 Itinerary
follows BIM LN6 at Poring Hot
Springs. After lunch, return to KK with
brief stops at a roadside vegetalbe
market and a pottery. (Breakfast/Lunch)

4 days/ 3 nights, Min 2 persons

Whitewater
Rafting
The deeply-contoured
Crocker Range offers thrilling rides on boulder-strewn
waterways set admidst lush, tranquil forests. It has
rapids to suit beginners and rapids to excite the
experienced or adventurous.
* Life Jackers &
helmets provided. Active participation required. Do not
wear jewellery.
* Clients would be
required to sign Liability Release Forms.

Papar or Kiulu River :
Grades 2 to 3

Drive
90 minutes to an exhilirating introduction to
whitewater rafting. This ride down a scenic  valley offers rapids
interspersed with deep, calming pools. Return to
KK in the mid-afternoon. (Lunch)

Padas Gorge:
Grade 3 to 4
(11 hours)
Depart 0630 |
Drive 90km to Beaufort, then
by rail to Panggi, the starting point on
the Padas Gorge. Embark on a
heart-pounding, unforgettable encounter
with the Padas River, Sabah's best for
whitewater rafting. Back to Beaufort by
rail and overland to KK. (Lunch)

Off-Road 4x4 Adventure
(Daytrip) Depart 0830 |
Travel
ala 'Camel Trophy' in 4-wheel drive vehicles to
see sights other vechicles can't take you to.
Thrill with 4x4 hill-climb to attain a grand
panoramic view of the town and the offshore
islands. Then into the countryside onto rough
gravelled roads passing by hamlets with a 'lost
valley' look about them. Divert into the jungled
hills of the Crocker Range to grapple with rugged
logging tracks and river crossings. Enjoy a
picnic lunch amidst the lushness of a tropical
rainforest, serenaded by birds and insects. After
lunch, drive/walk in search of animal traces
& birds along the trails. Return to KK in the
mid-afternoon. (Lunch)

Batu Punggul In The
Interior
(3 days/2 nights) Depart
0600 |
Day
1 Drive south in a 4-wheel drive (6
hours) to the Murut Hills of the interior
(>150m/500ft). Lunch at Sapulut Village.
Proceed to Batu Punggul in an uncovered long-boat
(3-5 hours). Upon arrival in the late evening
check into the resthouse. (Lunch/Dinner)
Day 2 After an early breakfast,
spend the morning exploring the lowland
rainforest and limestone caves. For the
adventurous, one can also climb to the top of the
limestone massif. Late afternoon, go on a boat
ride in search of wildlife. (Full Board)
Day 3 After breakfast, journey
back by boat to Kampong Sapulut. Transfer onto a
4-wheel drive back to KK. (Breakfast/Lunch)
Duration: 3days/23 nights, Min 2 persons
