Transfer
to BKI for the flight to Sandakan and
rewarding experience at the 43 sq.km
SEpilok Orang Utan Sanctuary and Virgin
Jungle Reserve. Here, 24 km from
Sandakan, young orphaned or captive apes
are rehabilitated for life in the wild.
Tour covers a local fish/vegetable market
water. and a fishing village buildt on
stilts over largest Visit Buddhist
templltop Puu Jih Shih Temple, the Sabah,
town Chinese dramatically sited on a
steep hile in overlooking Sandakan Bay
and the centre. Return flight to KK in
the evening. (Lunch)

Turtle Islands Park &
Sepilok
(2 days/1 night) Depart am (TBA)

Day 1
Depart KK for Sandakan by air. Transfer to
the jetty & a 40km (1.5hr) boatride to
Selingan Island in Turtle Islands Marine Park
(1,700ha). Check in to be free at leisure. Swim
or sun bath on white sandy beaches. Just ten
minutes boatride away are beautiful coral
formations not to be missed by enthusiastic,
snorkeller. After dinner, wait for Green and/or
Hawksbill Turtle coming ashore to lay eggs, and
witness the release of young turtles to the
sea.OVernight at Selingan Chalets (dormitory
style). (Lunch/Dinner).
Day 2 After
breakfast, boat back to Sanadakan to visit
Sepilok Orang Utan Reserve (BIM W-1)
(Breakfast/Lunch)

Primates of Sukau and Sepilok

Day 1
Depart KK for Sandakan by air. Visit its
bustling fish & vegetable market. (Drive
(1.5hrs) to Gomantong Caves. In a massive
limestone outcrop, the caves shelter bats and
swiftlets and are a source of edible birds nest.
After a picnic lunch, proceed to Sukau (1 hour)
and go on a river cruise in search of the
proboscis monkeys. Overnight at an unpretentious
riverside Jungle Lodge. (Lunch/Dinner).
Day 2 Drive
to visit Sepilok Reserve as per BIM W-1 before
the return flights to KK (Breakfast/Lunch)

Day 1
Depart KK for Sandkan by air. Overland to
Gomantong. SPend the morning exploring the caves.
After a picnic lunch, proceed to Sukau (1 hour)
and river cruise in search of the proboscis
monkeys. Overnight at a riverside Jungle Lodge.

Day 2 Return
to Sandakan & boar to Selingan Island whre
tour proceeds as per BIM W-3 (Turtles)

breakfast, return to Sandakan to visit Sepilok
