- Situated in the centre of Kota Bharu.
- It is a place of many historical events. It rose to prominence in 1844 after the completion of the Istana Besar. It is also known as Padang Bank. It is also erected as a war memorial after 1945 and is centred to the city many prominent buildings. This is also a historical site where the Malay nationalist, Tok Janggut was hanged by the British.
