Situated
at the St. Paul Hill near Jalan Kota in Melaka
city. - It was a fortress overlooking the Straits of Melaka. Built by the Portugese in 1511 as a fortress against invasion. It was damaged when the Dutch invaded the Melaka in 1808 and was partly saved by Sir Stamford Raffles
