Situated
at Air Hitam in the Penang Island. - It is the largest and certainly most beautiful Buddhist temple in the South East Asia. It was built as far back in 1890. It has a mixture of architecturing from Thai, Chinese, and Burmese in its seven- storey pagoda measuring 30 metre tall. The octogonal base is Chinese, the middle tiers, Thai and the spiral dome, Burmese. It covers an area of 12 hectares.
