- KUAN YIN TEMPLE
.............................................................................................................. - Situated in Lebuh Pitt in the city centre of Georgetown.
- This is the oldest temple in Penang providing the Taoist a place of worship. Built around 1800 by the Hokkien and Cantonese communities and also known as the Goddess of Mercy Temple or Kong Hock Keong. There is a statue of Kuan Yin inside with 18 arms. The temple is very busy during the Kuan Yin's birthday celebrated on the 19th day of the second, sixth and ninth lunar month.
