- Situated about 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu.
- Famous
highest mountain in South East Asia, stands at
4,101 metres above sea-level. Surrounded by the
Kinabalu Park, it is the nature wonders for many
nature lovers both local and abroad. Within the
park also lies the world's largest flower called
Rafflesea. The park is a paradise for botanists,
bird watchers, mountaineers, and naturalists.
Bajau women come to sell their wares and catch up with the weel's news at the large tamu held every Sunday in Kota Belud, in the foothills of Mount Kinabalu.
