Situated
on the northern bank of Sarawak River in Kuching. - It is a prominent building which was built by Rajah Charles Brooke in 1870 and as a bridal gift to his wife Ranee Margaret Brooke. Also once served as the palace for the white Rajah. It is today the residence of the Sarawak's Governor.
