CREAM SODA CAKE

cream soda cakeIngredients:-
180 g butter
3 large eggs
90 g castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla or lemon essence
240 g flour
1 tsp baking power
1 cup ice cream soda

Method:-
  1. Beat butter until light and creamy. In a separate bowl whisk eggs and castor sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in beaten butter and essence. Carefuly fold in sifted flour and baking powder alternately with ice cream soda.
  2. Pour mixture into a 21 cm round cake tin lined with greased greaseproof paper. Bake in a moderate oven for 35 mins or until cooked when tested with a skewer.
