LO SUNG BEEF SOUP
Ingredients:-
1 1/3 lbs beef for soup
½ cabbage
1 each carrot, potato, brown onion, tomato ) A
1 tbps each cooking wine or sherry soy sauce ) B
2 tsps salt )
Method:-
- Cut the beef into 1 ½ inch pieces. Blanch the beef in boiling
water; remove and drain. Transfer the beef to a deep pot; add 12 cups of
water and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and cook for 1 hour, or until
the liquid is reduced to three fourth its original amount.
- Cut (A) into ½ inch pieces; cut the cabbage into large squares.
Place (A) and cabbage in the pot. Cook for 20 mins over medium heat; add
(B). Place in a large bowl and serve.
