"The Peninsula" a century ago the only way to reach the Peninsula is through Star Ferry but today, visitors may drive through the Cross-Harbour Tunnel or whiz under the harbour on the Mass Transit Railway. Next to the Star Ferry is the Star House, which contains the first of the shopping arcades. There is the large Chinese Arts and Crafts store, where everything from garments to expensive procelain may be purchased. Adjoining the Star House/Hong Kong Hotel Complex is the Ocean Terminal/Ocean Centre/Harbour City complex, one of the largest air-conditioned and interconnected shopping centre in Asia. Other interesting places includes, Space Museum, Planetarium, Space Theater, Hong Kong Museum of Art and Hong Kong Cultural Centre which is a theatre complex capable of staging anything from grand opera or intimate theater. Tsimshatsui is also the heart of Hong Kong nightlife.
