CAVITE PROVINCE
............................................................................................................................
Cavite Province is a province steeped in
history, which flanks the southern part of Manila Bay. It
was here that Filipino soldiers rose up against the
Spanish in 1872. This mutiny sparked the independence
movement which was not to be extinguished again until the
country achieved full nationhood in 1946. Cavite has
numerous beaches and along the old road to Cavite are two
sights, the Sarao Jeeney Factory and the world famous Bamboo Organ in church of San Jose which was
built at the end of 18th century. Manila, being so close
has promoted the development of the Cavite as a centre of
manufacturing and processing
industries. |
