The journey from Baguio to Bontoc the capital of MOUNTAIN PROVINCE is quite an experience, The road twists and turns for about eight hours through rough country with exciting, panoramic views, in some places at heights of over 6,500 ft above the sea level. Some attractive places are the Bontoc Museum and Malegecng a fascinating stone rice terraces. Athough remote, Sagada, west of Bontoc, its charm lies in the cool tranquillity of its setting, among pine woods and rice terraces, its plentiful supply of simple accomodation and the fine walks it offers to ramblers.
