Par Villa Dragon World
This
theme park in Pasir Panjang Road is the
Disneyland of the East. It was formerly known as
Tiger Balm Gardens, named after the famous
'cure-all-aches' ointment which made the fortune
of the Aw brothers, the creators of the original
garden which opened in 1937. It has now been
revamped and renamed, and is a lively
entertainment park, graphically portraying 5000
years of Chinese mythology and legends in the
form of gaudy tableaux and rides with moralistic
themes such as love, duty, patience, charity,
honesty and luck.
The park opens daily from 09:00 to 18:00. Allow about three hours for your visit, and try to avoid busy times, especially Chinese New Year.
