The Commemorative Garden's project was initiated in 1994 by His Majesty the King to honour the Princess Mother. The Garden is divided into two parks, the memorial garden itself and a public park. Inside the commemorative garden there are three major sections.

The outer ring consist of a small cluster of old buildings, the inner ring comprises of two commemorative museums. The old buildings and beautiful garden are valued in Thai history and it also represent the great love and fond memories of His Majestiy the King had for the late Princess Mother.
