The biggest golden teakwood building in
the world, was built in 1901 by King Chulalongkorn the
Great (Rama V) as a royal residence. It is located behind
the old National Assmbly Building.

After having been deserted for decades, it was renovated
recently by order of HM Wueen Sirikit and opened to the
public as the private museum of the late King where
priceless tressures and a collection of the King's
memorabilia are displayed. Open daily from 09.30 to
15.15.
